Optical Coatings

Our ability to custom coat your optics in-house provides you with an all-inclusive optics manufacturing partner. As a result, we can personally ensure quality throughout and meet quick turnaround times. LaCroix’s engineers can use a stock optical coating or create a custom coating to meet your specifications. From anti-reflective coating and HRs to beamsplitters and cut-off filters, high-performance coatings deliver exceptional value.

In-House Coating Facility

Our in-house coating facility recently expanded to 4,300 sq. ft. (Sep 2017) and houses seven coating chambers. Deposition coating technologies include resistive heat, electron-beam, ion-assisted, and plasma-assisted. Optical coatings can be deposited in a wide working range of 250 to 2500nm.

Coating Design

We have an extensive inventory of over 400 coating designs our engineers can use to provide a stock solution to your requirements. Using stock optical coatings can often reduce your coating cost, as it increases the efficient use of the coating chamber. In the event a custom design is required, our Coating Engineer uses specialized software to design a coating to meet your spectral and environmental performance requirements.

High-performance coatings

From ARs (anti-reflective) to HRs (high reflectors), high-performance coatings deliver exceptional value. Our optical coating technologies include resistive heat deposition, electron-beam deposition, ion-assisted deposition, and plasma-assisted deposition. Our customers can choose from over 400 existing designs or have one custom-designed based on the required performance. The ability to coat on-site as part of the complete production process allows us to meet tighter lead times and ensure quality. Our high-damage threshold coatings have competed and won against some of the best coating departments in the world.
