LaCroix Acquires Second MRF Machine

Since we began polishing glass in 1947, the core competency of LaCroix Optical has been optimizing manufacturing efficiency.

With that, we’re pleased to announce the addition of a new Q22-Y from QED that has increased the capacity and diameters of our polishing capabilities. LaCroix Optical can now polish diameter parts up to 200 mm in size.

In addition to providing a robust, cost-effective avenue for polishing precision optics, the MRF technology allows geometries of almost any shape to be polished as easily as a spherical optic. Using raster-path mode, we can polish square or rectangular flats and figure correction for prisms and wedges.
