Since 1947, LaCroix has specialized in manufacturing precision optics, including spherical lenses, aspheres, achromats, windows, wedges, prisms, and custom optical coatings. With these new capabilities, LaCroix is solidifying its role as a vertically integrated optical solutions company.

BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS - August 26, 2021 - LaCroix Precision Optics is pleased to announce Kevin Weaver and Robert Brockway as the first apprentices in their inaugural Optics Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship.

The objective of this program is to engage employees with the overall understanding of the LaCroix Precision Optics manufacturing processes. The program goals are to transfer institutional knowledge, develop future skilled leaders, and expose apprentices to new and advanced optics manufacturing technologies.

LaCroix Precision Optics is pleased to announce that it is partnering with Zemax to offer the LaCroix Cost Estimator in Zemax OpticStudio.

The LaCroix Cost Estimator will provide an instant rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimate for prototype optics, assisting optical designers in achieving an estimate while designing their optics using Zemax OpticStudio.

Kenny Rains is a Technical Sales & Manufacturing Engineer for LaCroix Precision Optics. Rains has been with LaCroix for 3 years. Rains holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Masters of Engineering Management.

LaCroix Precision Optics is pleased to announce the promotion of Kirk Warden to President of the company, effective July 2, 2018. Ray LaCroix, Jr., who has served as President since 1985, will assume the role of Chairman of the Board.

2017 was a big year for LaCroix Precision Optics, with the addition of more shop space, an increase in total lenses produced and substantial growth in our workforce. These increases allow us to grow as a company to better suit the needs of our customers.

In November of 2017 LaCroix Precision Optics kicked off its new expanded facility by commissioning an additional aspheric manufacturing and metrology cell.
